Friday, December 31st, 2010

I’m blown away that today is the last day of 2010. I know its cliche to say, but its very true. This has been a big year for me, and I’m very excited to see where 2011 takes me!

If you’ve been paying attention for any length of time, you’ll know I always do a top 10 post at the end of the year, and this year is no different! There were lots of really amazing images to choose from this year, I had a really hard time just picking 10! I was blessed this year with a lot of really great clients. :)

Also, if you have been paying attention this past week, you’ll have noticed a few (ok a LOT) of changes around here. I’m very excited about my new look, and I’m working on a bunch of things that will make the Hybrid Photography client experience better, including a brand new Facebook page! If you are on Facebook, make sure to head on over and “like” the Hybrid Photography page. There is going to be a contest VERY soon, and the prize involves free photo sessions. :)

Ryan and Katey – Island Palms Wedding Photographer

Tuesday, November 16th, 2010

Ryan and Katey got married this weekend in a beautiful ceremony at the Island Palms on Shelter Island here in San Diego. It seems like its been so long since Katey met with me for an initial consultation, and we clicked right away. I knew from that day that this was going to be a really great wedding. When I met Ryan for their engagement shoot, it became obvious to me why these two are meant for each other. They laugh easily together, implicitly trust one another and love each other for who they are.

Here are some of my favorites from Saturday!

We had some great light for the bridal party pictures!

This is my favorite shot of the day. :)

Into the reception!

These toasts were some of the best I’ve ever heard. The bar has been set!

If this isn’t a proud papa, I’m not sure what is.

High Energy DJ Paul Peterson kept the dance floor crowded and the guests pumped up! He is VERY highly recommended.

Thanks also to Cheryl of A Cultured Event for keeping the day running smoothly, and actually ahead of schedule! :)
