This past Sunday, I was lucky enough to be part of Rick and Allie’s wedding day at Candelas on Coronado. Allie and I met back in January at the Bridal Bazaar in downtown San Diego, and we clicked right away. A few weeks later when we sat down for a formal chat, this time with Rick joining us, we all knew right away that we were meant to work together. Rick and Allie share a love that has grown from a simple meeting in their friend’s kitchen to trips and wine tastings and laughter and partnership. Each detail of their wedding had special meaning, from their family and friends blessing the wedding rings, to the tables named after places that served a significant purpose in their relationship, to the chicken cake toppers. Every little detail was carefully thought out and Allie’s many hours crafting and numerous trips to Michaels craft store paid off in a big way on Sunday. The wedding was gorgeous and full of wonderful personal touches that made it unforgettable for all involved.
Many thanks to Rachel at I Do…Weddings for keeping the day running smoothly!

Gorgeous flowers by Adina.

Meleah did a beautiful job on Allie’s makeup!

Rick waiting patiently for Allie to come out for their first look!

I just love when couples do a first look!

We headed off to Balboa Park for some bridal party pictures.

We also snuck in a few pictures at the Hotel Del just because we were in Coronado. :)

Instead of a unity candle or a bottle of sand, Rick and Allie opted to plant a small tree together into a pot. I love this idea!

They were whisked away on a pedi cab bike!

This was actually the very last shot I took that night, and its one of my favorites from the day.
I had a blast and Allie and Rick put together a great team of vendors for their day. Some other really awesome vendors of note are Chris of Black Tie DJ, videographers Tuan & Tina of Everlasting Video, Pastor Dave Weber and guitarist Mark of Spanish Guitar Del Mar.
