Nan Couts Cottage Wedding – James & Renee

Friday, October 21st, 2011

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to return to the La Mesa Community Center for James and Renee’s wedding. The ceremony was up near the community center, and the reception was at Nan Couts Cottage, which is completely adorable and was perfect for their wedding. This wedding was almost completely DIY. The decor, the cake topper, the bouquets, the desserts…all of it was DIY.

It looked AMAZING. These two did such a fantastic job. I would have thought it was all set up by a professional. Their ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt, and their reception was filled with family, friends and love.

A special thanks goes to officiant Larry Steckling for creating a beautiful ceremony and also to Courtney at After the Engagement for helping the day run smoothly!

James & Renee – Marian Bear Engagement Photos

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

James and Renee are absolutely adorable and perfect for one another. They love the movie Up, so we thought an Up themed engagement session would be perfect for them! We had a lot of fun at Marian Bear Park complete with tons of balloons, the grape soda “Ellie” badge, their cute dogs and a picnic basket and blanket.

Check out some of my favorites below!

Wish Upon a Wedding – Bid for Charity!

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011

Do you need an engagement session and would you like to help out an incredibly awesome charity?

Hybrid Photography is offering up an engagement session for bid to benefit Wish Upon a Wedding!

What is Wish Upon a Wedding? From their website:

“Wish Upon a Wedding is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness and serious life altering circumstances. Our organization was created to celebrate the courage, determination and spirit of these couples by granting their dream wedding Wishes. Our hope is that chosen recipients can inspire other couples facing similar situations to find hope and strength.”

Wish Upon a Wedding has granted wishes so far in several cities across the country and is growing larger all the time-but they need YOUR help to do it!

By bidding on this engagement session in the Bid Your Wish for Wedded Bliss auction, you are helping Wish Upon a Wedding host a completely free wedding for couples facing terminal illness who would not otherwise be able to afford a wedding on their own, nor be able to devote their precious time to planning it.

This San Diego engagement session has a $250 value, but bidding starts at just $75! You can bid by going to the Bid Your Wish for Wedded Bliss site.

Please share this link on Facebook, Twitter, Google + or wherever you think people will see it-let’s help fund weddings for couples in need!
