I actually met Jason and Suzy for the first time on their engagement session last week! They live in New York and we had a video chat instead of a physical meeting when they booked. They were in San Diego this past week finalizing some plans for their July 4th wedding so we met up at Balboa Park for some engagements!

That last one is my favorite.

As some of you may know, I have recently joined an organization called Op:Love ReUnited. We offer our services to military families for free photo sessions while their loved one is deployed or at a homecoming. Yesterday I had the honor of shooting my first homecoming!

Jeff has been gone 8 months and this was his first deployment since having a wife and children….it was also his last as he is retiring from the military in a few months. What a fun, final homecoming to be a part of! The girls were so sweet…they kept wondering when Daddy’s ship was coming. They sure missed him! They got so excited and yelled so loud when they saw his ship coming into the pier. It was definitely a moment to remember.

Rain isn’t usually a worry in San Diego, even in the winter. This year has been quite different however! Every time I’ve tried to schedule these head shots it starts raining! Well we finally got some gorgeous San Diego weather back today and Bronte and I headed down to Balboa Park for some quick head shots for her acting class. She made my job very easy today!

Oh my gosh! Thank you so much everyone for stopping by my booth today at the Bridal Bazaar! I had such a blast meeting everyone! Boy, my feet are tired though.

I can’t believe tomorrow is the big day! I’ve been trying for quite some time to secure a booth at San Diego’s largest and most popular wedding show, the Bridal Bazaar. I got the call in late December and it’s been a rush, but I’ve got a booth together that I’m quite proud of. I hope you’ll come check out Hybrid Photography in booth 628, right in the main aisle. There will be a show special so make sure to get a hand out from me or my assistant for the day Michelle!

My good friend Mark Eric came out to San Diego last month to shoot T’s bridals all the way from Louisiana. I got to tag along and shoot a little bit while helping him out. T’s wedding hasn’t happened yet so we’ll keep her name secret for Googling purposes.
