Earlier this month I was lucky enough to return to the La Mesa Community Center for James and Renee’s wedding. The ceremony was up near the community center, and the reception was at Nan Couts Cottage, which is completely adorable and was perfect for their wedding. This wedding was almost completely DIY. The decor, the cake topper, the bouquets, the desserts…all of it was DIY.

It looked AMAZING. These two did such a fantastic job. I would have thought it was all set up by a professional. Their ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt, and their reception was filled with family, friends and love.

A special thanks goes to officiant Larry Steckling for creating a beautiful ceremony and also to Courtney at After the Engagement for helping the day run smoothly!

I had so much fun at Trevor and Leigh’s wedding last week at the MCRD Chapel and Bayview restaurant! The weather was amazing and MCRD is a beautiful location for photos. Trevor and Leigh also hired some fantastic vendors for their day. Penny Blooms did an incredible job on the floral design.

Villa de Flores is an absolutely gorgeous new venue in Rancho Santa Fe that was originally a showpiece garden for an award winning landscape company here in San Diego. The grounds are amazing, and a perfect location for a wedding!

Sergey and Nicole’s big day was a lot of fun-you know its going to be a great ceremony when the bride walks down the aisle to “The Final Countdown” and the ring “bear” was dressed in a bear suit. The reception was equally entertaining and a great party, complete with delicious Russian appetizers and desserts.

This weekend I had an absolute blast photographing Max and Amanda’s wedding. When we first met way back last year, I just knew we were going to be friends when we all talked about our shared love of Disneyland and they told me about the special “just engaged” and “just married” buttons they had gotten from Disneyland. Max and Amanda are so full of personality and obvious love for each other. I teared up SEVERAL times during the ceremony, toasts and speeches. It was a day full of real and beautiful emotion, and I’m so blessed to have been able to be there and capture it.
